ABOUT ME

My friends call me Space. Sometimes even SpaceMonkey but then I'll have to bite back :) I'm not a regular guy when appropriate. I love challenges and tend to be overly risk averse. Quitting my job, selling my car and leaving my apartment to give myself the opportunity to move to a foreign country without having any friends or speaking the native language. Yes, that's me in a nut shell.

I'm also a very friendly and easy going person to be around. Sometimes my friends tell me I'm too nice to others and that's probably more true than false. I'm also a bit calm and will not be the first person to base jump from a rooftop of a skyscraper. But probably not the last person either. At times I'm also a bit quiet. But don't be fooled. If you get to know me you will have very interesting discussions with me :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'll try to meet new friends at CS whenever I travel abroad. I appreciate just to take a walk or a coffee in the city I'm in to have a new view of things. The less tourist I feel the better :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have some experience meeting other CS people when I have travelled. I've also surfed once. I hope to gain and give more in the future :)

Interests

Fashion and interior design are two of my main interests. It's something special for me to create a home which is both stylish and practical. This interest may sometimes reflect my clothing. But I'm comfortable in suit and tie as well as jeans and t-shirt.

I also like to keep my body in shape. Tae Kwon Do was a central part in my training but nowadays I'd rather spend time playing beach volleyball or dancing Salsa.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I love travelling, learn about new languages and cultures and meet interesting people. During the last 1.5 years I've been living in Italy, which was an unforgettable period of my life.
