ABOUT ME

I love to travel; meet new people, see new places, I am one of the few people I know who actually like airports!!

Coffee is essential for me, preferably good coffee shared with friends.

At the moment I have just returned to Ireland after spending the last year combining studying and travelling - Belgium, Australia and Timor-Leste were the places I spent the most time....my study focused on humanitarian and environmental issues with a geography slant.

I try and keep an open mind in general, live life, have fun and tread gently...not sure if I always manage it but I try...

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

A small amount of surfing and a lot of meeting people - that is why this concept is great, the goal is to meet real people in real life - not just amass virtual friends in cyberspace!

Oh so many things....I love listening to good music, reading books, eating smelly blue cheese, hanging out with friends, good conversation, learning french, visiting art galleries, cooking

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: i have quite an eclectic taste liking pretty much anything....off the top of my head some really good artists I like would include: Ben Harper, Louise Attaque, Jack Johnson, BellX1, Muse, Ani DeFranco, Kaizers Orchestra, Snow Patrol, Damien Rice, David Kitt, Duke Special, Raphael, Wallis Bird

Movies: I like watching movies, but I never can remember the names of them....

Books: Anything written by Noam Chomsky, Naomi Klein or George Orwell. Emergency Sex and Other Desperate Measures, Catcher in the Rye, Generation X, Pride and Prejudice, and pretty much anything I can get my hands on!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I jumped out of a plane once - it was a pretty amazing andreneline rush!! :)

I would dearly love to be able to pack less....it is an art form really, and every time I think I almost have it, it eludes me, so if anyone has any tips, I'd love to hear them!
