About Me
Hey! I'm Spade.
Born & raised in California, USA. I love adventure & travel. Bonding through extreme sports & the majestic silence hidden deep in nature is where I find the most blissful moments of life. I have a passion for the connection of the mind, the body, & the soul that we all share in common. I am currently studying/living at a Kung Fu Academy near Beijing, China.
I work a variety of jobs when I am not traveling. Most of which include sales, serving/bartending, catering, & event coordinating. I have been studying physical fitness & nutrition for the past 6 years in my spare time for fun. When I arrive home from China & England, I will be pursuing certification as a personal health coach & fitness instructor.
Skateboarding (street) has been my main passion for over 10 years. I've Snowboarded in season for nearly 12 years. I was on the swim team for 6 years. I've also been hiking & freeclimbing my entire life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on couchsurfing so I can explore the world and its amazing diversity. I find the best way to do this is through the people & through learning their culture & language. What language do you smile in?

Some of favorite movies include Dead Poets Society, Point Break (both new & old), Pay It Forward, Doctor Strange, & Amelie.
I definitely have some favorite books but could never list all of them, so here is a few:
- The Alchemist [by Pablo Coelho]
