ABOUT ME

I was raised in small towns in Canada and, because of this, love to go anywhere new! I think cities are a great place to get caught up in the fast-track and endless possibilities. But I also think that smaller towns are important to visit. There you get a real sense of the people and their attitudes. While there might not be so many options of things to do in small towns, there is a sense of "this is what we've got, and we love it", which I think is lovely. I'm also a person who loves to be outside and there's more outside in the country.
I have found that I enjoy basically anything I'm doing, so if you've got any suggestions for the place that you live I'd love to hear them.
I'm also really appreciative of all of the people on Couch Surfing for everything you are doing for complete strangers. I think it's a brilliant way to create a community, and it's lovely that it's one based on sharing, love, generosity, honesty, and care. What could be better? The rest of our communities could learn from it.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've put a couple people up at my house before and discovered that I love hosting! I also surfed in four countries in Europe. I think that this is an incredible service that needs to be maintained for those with the (sometimes very pricey) passion of travelling. I pledge to be honest and open-minded and to spread the word about CS.

兴趣

I love to spend time with people, so whatever they are interested in I'm likely to join in on. On my own, however, I love to be outside no matter what season it is (walking, jogging, hiking, biking, kayak/canoeing, skiing, snowshoeing). I like live music, food, and visiting.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I ran with a wolf.
Well... kind of. When I worked in northern Manitoba there was a wolf mother that I saw several times. Twice she cut onto my trail 30 feet or so ahead of me and would jog slowly in front of me for a little while, then I'd turn around and run as fast as I could in the other direction.
