About Me
CURRENT MISSION
eat, drink & dance our way around this earth :)
ABOUT ME
My cousin (Maddy, 20) and I are traveling around NZ for the next month and we are keen to meet some locals and make some friends by couch-surfing in the places we visit. (My sister and I did it in 2011 and the boyf and I did in 2012/13, hence the reviews :)
About us... we're both pretty chilled, friendly, open-minded, love the beach and the outdoors in general, love trying new foods, love a good beer/cider/wine/cocktail, and exploring new places. We also love cooking so if we stay with you we're usually pretty keen to get in the kitchen and whip something up! But we're no gourmet chefs so don't get your hopes up too high.. we do try though! :)
PHILOSOPHY
We don't take ourselves too seriously and try to have a positive outlook on life in general. Make the most of every opportunity. Life's too short to be doing things you don't enjoy! And always be excellent to each other!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
At the moment we're just surfing, but will hopefully do some hosting as well once we're back home!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I couch surfed with my sister in 2011 when we traveled Europe - we surfed a few nights in Cambridge, Cork, Galway and Dublin. All were really positive and just awesome experiences; we met some hilarious characters and made some great friends!
Also surfed around Scandinavia/Europe with my boyfriend in 2012/13 and had an equally awesome experience!
Interests
In no particular order... Traveling, health and wellbeing, food (cooking and eating), bush walking/hiking, bike riding, nature, yoga, snowboarding, cheese and wine times, meeting people, different cultures/languages/accents, chocolate, stand up paddle boarding, surfing, castles...etc!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Can't narrow it down to one so had to list a couple, some may sound a bit cliché but so far our amazing-things-done list goes like this... Eating fresh coconuts on the beach in Fiji, getting muddy at a festival in England, downhill mountain biking in Scotland, picnics of wine and cheese by the Seine in Paris, nudie dips off the Curonian Spit in Lithuania, running a chalet in the French Alps, wild berry picking in Helsinki.. and we're very keen to add some cool NZ experiences to this!
Teach, Learn, Share
When i find my most amazing banana cake recipe I'll add it so everyone can taste the banana goodness! It's my specialty :)
Recently learnt to juggle so could potentially teach any willing students
Would love to learn some more languages and improve my skate boarding skills
