ABOUT ME

The uncertainty principles states that if you know one of my qualities, it will make it harder to discern the others. I think that's why these profiles are tricky things. I guess if you know one thing about me, it should be that I like to cook. I'm big on trying new things. Recent projects have included: making Challah, preserving lemons, fermenting soybeans, making yogurt, making corn flakes (that one didn't pan out...). Another thing you could know about me is that I like to learn. Implied in that is that I like to listen. I consider myself a very good listener, which is good cause it seems like couchsurfers always have amazing things to talk about. For a while I was going to school for creative writing, but I dropped out a year ago. I still think language is the most beautiful human achievement - besides barbecued pork. I'm interested by just about everything, and I haven't yet found an activity that is completely worthless.

I had my palms read once, and was told that my life purpose is to help people re-connect with themselves. Whatever the hell that means.

Yoga has become an important part of my life. There's a lot to be said for the healing powers of re-entering one's own body.

PHILOSOPHY

My life philosophy is tri-partite:

1. Love the things that are right in front of you.

2. Happiness is brain silence.

3. Breathe.

I have experienced the overwhelming generosity of so many people through this website, I only hope I can give back a portion of what it has given me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted a few people. A year ago a good friend and I couchsurfed our way through Switzerland, Italy and Austria. So many good memories.

Intereses

Cooking. Currently I am exploring the world of Indian cuisine. But I have a special fondness for the french.

I've done some dancing, blues, swing, salsa. Haven't done it so much lately, but it sure is a good time.

When I need a good thrill I take my bike to the mountain for some bone-liquifying blood-bumping death-dealing trail runs.

I like learning how the brain works. I like Anime. I like creating new word combinations. I like the Golgi Apparatus, and learning about different countries. I like the sound of trains. I like the idea of clouds.
