About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To enjoy the present while having in mind my changing desires and needs of the future.

ABOUT ME

26 year old not ready to conform to my societies inherent pressures. Grad school is a possibility but not inevitable future step. In the meantime, Im living in Spain, doing my best to soak in different ideologies, learn Spanish and take advantage of my freedom and lack of responsibilities. I like travelling to new places, going out for canas and tapas, having a midday cortado, and most other things that dont involve annoying sounds, bad smells, or mean people.

PHILOSOPHY

Nothing is guaranteed in life so its important to enjoy what youre doing and how you live your life. Its important to question why you choose to do what you do and to be sure that you are not doing something because you feel like its what you should be doing or what everybody else is doing. To find my path and see where it takes me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

All I aim to do is open up myself and the experiences that Ive had to those that are curious. If anybody is interested in visiting me in Motril, I most likely can offer a couch. I also aim to act as ambassador to California and the US in general to prove that there is no such thing as a typical American. Unfortunately, only a small demographic of Americans ever stray outside of our confines.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have hosted a few people in Barcelona, although unofficialy through my job as a hostel receptionist. I understand that to open up your house to somebody is no small task and that a mutual respect is necessary for the whole project to work.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of my favorite memories is from when I played basketball in a small Division III college. The best came I ever played came against the only time we played against a bigger Division I school--Villanova. I had played basketball my whole life, made many sacrafices, but on that day it all paid off.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can help those that are learning Spanish as I too am learning, I can teach others about my experience living in a foreign country, and maybe some helpful info about exercise/diet type stuff.
