ABOUT ME

Fairly average people -- married since Sept 2000, and have a beautiful little boy and girl. We work fairly hard (even though this is being filled out at work), and like the simple pleasures in life. A long walk, a good book, great conversation, time to sit and think.

We like to get different perspectives on life and meeting new people, learning about different cultures and ideas.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We haved surfed and hosted.

Eau Claire is a great city, if you just want to get away from the typical vacation it's great! ;-) It's a music city — we get a lot of requests during music festival times.

If there is snow, you'll find us skiing on weekends. So don't be surprised if we're not available during ski season — of course we're more than will to show you the slopes 1.25 hours away.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We surfed with two different people on our trip to Boston. It was one of the best parts of the trip. It was great meeting new people and more comfortable than being a room number at some hotel. We also spent the overnight before going to the Minnesota state fair so we could get an early start.

We have also hosted -- equally a great experience. Most of our requests are bicyclists and music lovers/musicians.

Intereses

Love nature in general, but LOVE technology too...so we're a bit of an oxymoron. We like to take hikes, walks and Bill likes to read when the kids let him. We love to cook and love food, wine, snobby beer and a good martini. Enjoy history and learning from our past. Love to travel, but don't seem to find enough time (or money) to do it more. We've traveled to a few countries, but would like to travel to more.

Música, películas y libros

Most movies we like, we're a Sci-Fi/action flick type of couple, but also appreciate good dramas and humor flicks. Music is all over the board, from classical, to bluegrass, to blues, to country. We really don't have favorite artists. Our taste in music (like most other things) is very eclectic.

Books, ah books. Although (Bill) loves to read, we don't have a lot of time lately to read what we would like. Fiction based on fact is always interesting. We read a lot of Dr. Suess lately...does that count?

Algo increíble que he hecho

Traveling to Croatia tops our list of amazing things we've done. We took a "baby-moon" for 10 days in 2007 before our son was born, and it was one of the best trips of our lives. We'll be talking about it forever. Just the "oldness" of the country, it's vast history, and where it's located makes it one of the place we would consider living. The people were kind and everything was just well...amazing!
