ABOUT ME
I am an easy-going but driven person and like to work hard on what I am passionate about. I love to meet new people especially with from different countries, with different backgrounds, upbringings, and traditions. I also am content being by myself and love to wander cities on my own. I am independent but really value my friendships and put a lot of effort into forming bonds with people. I get along well with anyone who is open-minded and is willing to put effort into having a good conversation. I try to keep some silliness in life!
PHILOSOPHY
Moderation!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've only couchsurfed once, in Philadelphia, PA.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
It was a last minute trip, my friend had made a couchsurfing profile a couple days before leaving and I didn't think we'd have much success. However, we got a ton of responses and met so many welcoming, interesting people.
Interests
Food and cooking definitely animate me - I can read cookbooks page by page. Dinner parties are my favorite type of party. I love the outdoors, especially the woods, and have grown up in a family that spends vacations in cabins in West VA for the beautiful hiking, biking, skiing etc. I play piano and saxophone and love all types of music from classical to Southern Rock.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Well I just arrived in Granada two weeks ago, (I'm here studying for the year, and on my second morning I decided to go explore the ancient Arabic neighborhood - Albaycin. I climbed up one of the many winding, cobblestone streets, got lost in the maze of short whitewashed homes, happened upon a packed marked in a small plaza that sold fruits that I've never seen, and then suddenly found myself at an incredible mirador (look-out). The San Nicolas mirador has a stunning view of the Alhambra, Granada, and the monstrous Sierra Nevadas in the background. I sat there for an hour, soaking in the view.
