After sitting at a desk for 7 years I decided no time was better than now to get out and see the world. One year of traveling turned into two, and two years has now turned into another two years of graduate school in China. I'm trying to visit places that are as removed from what I've previously experienced as possible and meet some great folks along the way.

Live music--both standard bar stuff and traditional cultural music--I play drums and try to play when abroad, so far a late-night jam session in Budapest has been the highlight. Hiking, snowboarding, and surfing when possible. Learning about the local craft beer industry across the globe.
