About Me
ABOUT ME
I live and work in DC, but my work takes me all over America. In my spare time I like to get out of the country and explore the rest of the world.
PHILOSOPHY
Carpe diem. Not all who wander are lost.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My travel schedule for work can often be unpredictable, so it's tough for me to plan to host more than a week or so in advance. But even if I can't host, I can offer some inside info about the DC area and possibly get together to show you around to some of the more non-touristy areas of town.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Probably my best Couchsurfing experience so far has been to surf with a great Basque guy named Joxan, who showed me all over San Sebastian and even to a beautiful Basque seaside village that's not even mentioned in either of the guidebooks I had with me. I've also had lunch with and been shown around some "real" areas of Hong Kong by a local Couchsurfing schoolteacher.
And since I returned from my trip, I've hosted a Kiwi, two South Africans and a couple of college students who were on a road trip visiting every major-league ballpark.
