ABOUT ME

I am a recent college graduate from Hampshire College, at which I majored in music. I live in Northampton, Massachusetts, a small town area in New England. My biggest passion is music, playing guitar and composing for solo guitar and larger ensembles. I compose and play experimental leaning instrumental music, within the jazz and folk realm. Currently, I work as a teacher at an elementary school, at which I run an after-school program for children ages 3-12. I love to watch movies and tv, of all varieties. I love to listen to music, jazz, rock, folk, etc. etc. many many things. I as well love traveling very much, and hope to do it more in my life!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new to couchsurfing, but I hope to participate in way that allows me to meet people from places I've never been and know little about. I want to use people as a lens into a place or culture. And to reciprocate that experience for someone about the place that I live.

None yet, but hopefully much to come! I'd love to find people who I can just have a nice time with and learn from.

Interests

I love to play guitar and compose music, for guitar and other instruments. As well as composing, I love to improvise, with other musicians and solo. I am especially drawn to musics associated with free jazz and free improvisation. In addition to playing this kind of music, I as well listen to it and many other kinds of music. I cook very frequently, using all the amazing ingredients from the New England area. I also love to bike.
