About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm a Professor of English teaching at Penn State Harrisburg. I'm married with 4 children: three girls and a boy. We love traveling, seeing new places, and meeting new people although we have put it in hold while our family grows. Still, we took our oldest to Europe when she was 4 months old and our second (the boy) dreams of going to Madagascar to see the Lemurs. My wife has mainly traveled in Asia, and I've mainly traveled in Europe although we did make it to New Zealand together. We're hoping for a lot more trips and adventures around the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's the most fun and interesting way to see the world. We've loved the people we've met doing this and WOOFing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Swimming in the freezing water of Merlin's Cave beneath the ruins of Tintagel Castle. The waves crashed in from both directions as me and some friends climbed along the walls to jump into the deep end of the cave.
My first day in Rome, I wandered around the Villa Borghase around evening when the sun was setting and these giant Cedars of Lebanon were casting long shadows highlighted by this orange glow. It was like walking through a storybook from my childhood right after seeing some of Bernini's masterpieces. It was the most concentrated awe I'd ever experienced, and it stayed with me for 3 days in Rome.
