ABOUT ME

I like taking people on adventures. I did it for a living for 10 years operating a nonprofit sailing school. Now I work remotely, and live in Lviv, Ukraine. I like hanging out by the fire and talking about life, literature, poetry, jokes, aphorisms and singing. This past summer I hitchhiked through the Balkans. It was great!

PHILOSOPHY

To sit by the fire with friends, food, drink, song, poetry, literature, stories and jokes is best.

Interests

There're always social events going on - friend's exhibits, parties, language meetups. I might visit my friends for tea. At home I read a lot about weather, study French and Russian, and tinker with a solar panel/battery system I've set up.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite author is Nikos Kazantzakis. I've read a lot of Herman Hesse too. I read a lot about natural phenomena such as weather and astronomy too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did an ultramarathon when I was 16.

I know a lot about natural navigation, that's navigating without instruments. I also know about navigating with instruments.
