Hey everyone
My name is Spenser. I was born and raised in the mountains of western North Carolina. It has been said before that I am tall. I find pleasure in sharing a good laugh with someone close by. I have a very tight-knit family and group of friends that I love very much. I studied sculpture in college, which has led me into sewing. I make leather goods, (mostly wallets and bags).
That sweet little lady in all of my pictures is Stuart. She is my best friend and travel companion. No, we are not a couple. I'm a gay man, so we're definitely seeking LGBTQ friendly hosts. We're open-minded, respectful, and quite friendly, and we love to be shown a good time.
I love to travel and try and seek out adventure whenever it presents itself. Despite what my profile says, I've been using couchsurfing for a few years, mostly through my friends. When I lived in a house with a group of friends, we regularly hosted couchsurfers and it never was never a mundane experience. I also couchsurfed all through Central America while backpacking.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My best friend, Stuart, and I, are beginning a cross country road trip in my Honda element. We've done our best to make the car livable, but we may find ourselves looking for an escape, and if i've learned anything from Couchsurfing, it's that some of the best memories are made by getting to know the locals and being shown around. So, technically our minimum necessities would be a safe place to park and access to water, but we would certainly not turn down a nice place to rest. We also have camp gear so we could utilize your yard as well!

Stuart and I have both reached a reflective part of our lives, sometimes referred to as a quarter life crisis, where we questioned everything we were doing and needed some self-care, so we dropped everything and decided to road trip. Do you want to dish out some thoughtful words of wisdom? Great. We are all ears.

What I Can Share with Hosts

As I mentioned before, I make leather goods, so as long as my stash of wallets lasts, I would be happy to share and trade with any and all hosts.

But aside from material possessions, I plan on sharing stories from past adventures. I guarantee that I if I cant make you laugh, that stuart certainly will.
