About Me:
Grew up on the east coast of Florida until I moved to Madrid in 2013 for graduate school and stayed. Did that and loved it for two years until moving back to FL briefly before moving to San Diego in Feb 2016. Plan to settle here for a bit, or as long as I settle anywhere ;)
Basically, I love adventures of any kind. And books, music, people and conversations who actually make you feel something.

- Current Mission - To learn as much as possible about our planet and the people that live in it.

- About me - Born in Colombia, but moved to the US as a kid. Grew up there, and moved to Madrid soon after Shannon. I love intellectual discussions, great food, great music, and many other things!

- Philosophy - Self-awareness.

- Other - I hold a B.A. in Political Science, International Relations Specialization with a certificate in Diplomacy. I am fluent in Spanish and English, and I am currently learning French.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

SHANNON
I have hosted quite a bit and surfed a couple of times. I have had great experiences with hosting, each and every person has motivated my desire to travel, learn and appreciate others more. A big thank you goes to all the CSers I've met, you're awesome!
*Right now we aren't allowed to host in the apartment we rent, per the owners' wishes, so the plan is to meet up with cool Couchsurfers when we can! The best way to have fun is with interesting people at your side and meeting new friends like that is why we're on Couchsurfing :)

- How I participate in Couchsurfing - I didn't have much experience with couchsurfing until I met Shannon. I enjoy the idea of meeting different people who enjoy traveling, and learning the story to their voyage. Whether we are hosting or vice-versa, we want to get to know whoever we're meeting and not make the stay seem hostel-like.

- Music - I really enjoy soulful, indie music. Jazz is also a favorite, and Charles Bradley leads in that category.

- Movies - I don't watch many movies, but I really enjoy a select few. Among those are: No, Maria Llena eres de Gracia, Spider-Man, Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, and some more!

- Books - Kite Runner, A Hundred Years of Solitude, The Sixth Extinction, Oryx and Crake, The Monkey Wrench, Ghosts of Spain.

- Similar to Shannon above. I'm also vegetarian, enjoy sharing political news/views, and playing board games!

What I Can Share with Hosts

We have hosted a lot but hardly surfed. In our surfers we expect cleanliness and respect of our spaces (and our electricity bills), and we appreciate a joy of cooking something interesting with us. We ensure to offer the same to our hosts. It's not always easy to find time and energy to host people so we really appreciate when hosts do make the time for us. We also like to share fun stuff/recipes from Madrid/Colombia/international with our hosts when we can :)
