ABOUT ME

***UPDATE***
We have recently moved and are no longer able to host surfers in our current living situation. :( However we are still occasional surfers ourselves!

We are a newlywed couple residing in the heart of Flint, Michigan.

PHILOSOPHY

We respect and embrace people of all faiths, spiritualities, races, cultures, sexes, and welcome and encourage philosophical, religious, cultural, environmental discussions (or no discussion, if you prefer). We believe above all to love your neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22.39) and to always edify the people you are with through whatever means possible!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

One of us remarked the other day on the hotel industry and how lucrative it is. Why would anyone spend so much money on a place to lay one's head for the night when there's a movement like couchsurfing that's just as lucrative in a much more exciting and life-enriching way!?

We own a TV exclusively for movie-watching purposes, so if you're a television fiend you'll have to settle for movies!

We have an array of musical instruments you're welcome to jam with us on, including an acoustic piano, electronic keyboard, acoustic guitar, classical guitars, djembes, harmonica, two ukuleles, tambourines, egg shakers, even kazoos if you're into it.

Our bookshelf is overflowing with subjects varying from philosphy, apologetics, food politics, natural healing, gardening, recipe books, classic literature, dog training, animal psychology, short fiction, history, theology, and music analysis.

Hannah:
I'm a novice gardener eager to learn more and share what little knowledge I already have. I have three years of experience in the health food industry and can answer many questions about healthy eating habits, supplements, herbs, and homeopathy. I can certainly give you a few tips in the kitchen! I'm also a piano instructor and always enjoy teaching others how to play and read music. Between the two of us, Cameron and I have learned a lot about dog psychology and training, and can give advice on them (but please don't judge us by our dogs' behavior! Even we get lazy with training sometimes...).
