Overview
About Me
The basics are as follow: I am considerate, I am kind, my perfectionist tendencies keep me from doing everything I enjoy doing, I am laid back, and I am constantly scrubbing away my tendencies to hold back and not express myself fully.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I originally joined Couchsurfing to explore the website and find out how everything worked. I've not been active for quite some time, but since I've made some life changes I'm ready to actually begin finding places to stay and people who can be contacts when I travel.
Interests
My interests are constantly unfolding. The more I learn about the world the more I enjoy in the world. The list of things that I currently enjoy are: photography, graphic design, meditation, beaches, deserts, nature, camping, food, flying, great conversations, games, sports, archery, Japan, ancient cultures, history. The list keeps going, but the crux of my interests is that I've experienced it personally and it struck a chord in my soul.

Music, Movies, and Books
The movies that I've watched the most times are: The Matrix, The Last Samurai, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, The Princess Bride, Cowboy Bebop the movie, The Lion King, Titanic, The Shawshank Redemption, Toy Story, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Independence Day, The 13th Warrior. There are definitely more that I just don't remember at the moment.
I don't listen to a lot of music, anymore. I want to be able to focus on something fully when I do it and so I only listen to music when I'm cleaning, which I don't need to focus on fully. When I am listening, it tends to be soundtracks or musical pieces that I've really resonated with emotionally, anything is fair game basically.
I've read Enders Game half a dozen times and all of the follow up books in that series. I've read all of Harry Potter multiple times. I tend towards science fiction and fantasy. I don't usually read non-fiction and I have to say I haven't read most of the "greats" or "classics" even though I went through a phase when I was younger of reading all of the time.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I traveled to Hong Kong to learn Tai Chi with the grand master of the Dung Style, but the part of that journey which left the largest impact in my life was that I chose to land in Hawaii instead of returning home. That decision helped shape who I am today.
Teach, Learn, Share
One reason I've felt reluctant to use Couchsurfing in the past was that I felt like I didn't have anything to offer in exchange and that made me feel like I wasn't qualified to explore the opportunities this community offers.
Since that time I've changed considerably and now feel much more strongly about my intrinsic value as a human being. I've got stories to share and enough wit to create new experiences for both the host and myself. I can show you meditation techniques and different perspectives on life. I can introduce you to EFT and different modalities for changing your life.
As for what I can learn... Everything and anything. I am open minded and I absorb things like a sponge.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Every situation will bring a different set of circumstances and I don't have the foreknowledge to anticipate that. So at the most basic level I enjoy helping people, whether the task is difficult or mundane.
