About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To be more awesome

ABOUT ME

I graduated last year from Robert Gordon's University, with BA (hons) in publishing with journalism. I decided before settling into a permanent job, I would take to the road with my boyfriend Shaun, and travel around Asia. I am hoping to use my experiences abroad, to compile a travel blog that can share my story. I recently completed the TEFL course, so I can hope to teach the English language on my travels.

My boyfriend Shaun works as a mechanical fitter in the oil industry, but fancied a change, so came along with me for the adventure.

PHILOSOPHY

I live for laughter, fun, friends and family. For the butterflies I feel when I first hear an amazing song or read an amazing book. I live for learning and enlightening, and accepting the way life can materialise.

But I live to be myself, to be honest, and true of who I am, even with my flaws.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I am merely taking, as I am exploring and do not have my place anymore. However, when I return I would be delighted to host some couch surfers. :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't had any experience yet, but I am very keen to get started.

Interests

I like traveling (obviously), exploring, appreciating new cultures and meeting new people as I go.

I spend a lot of time reading novels, writing blogs, and short stories.

I recently became very interested in yoga, and enjoy swimming.

I am passionate about music - many different genres. I play guitar, but unfortunately haven't had a chance for a while, which means I am slowly losing my talent. I also love to sing, and think I am maybe, possibly, kinnnda good at it, although, very shy when it comes to performing to an audience.

Music, Movies, and Books

My main reading interests are weirdly enough horror novels. I love giving myself a scare. Other than that, I like fantasy and sci-fi.

I also have a great passion for technology, and gaming.

Musically I am very intricately tuned. There are a variety of genres I enjoy, such as trip-hop, deep house, IDM, techno, ambient, alternative rock, metal, folk, the list goes on and on, but I hate country! Just no, no, no.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last year I saw a meteor fall out of the sky and it was the most messed up and beautiful thing I have ever seen. (I thought it was the apocalypse though, and got my jacket and shoes on and was thinking of trying to hot wire a car)

I was bitten by a leopard last month.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to introduce people to new music, literature, music and games!

As a wise man once said to me, "try everything three times."

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Cambodia, Germany, Italy, Laos, Malaysia, Netherlands, Spain, Thailand, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

United Kingdom
