About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Finally see what I am made of all around the WORLD. 75 Airbnb rooms, 30 Couches.
ABOUT ME
PAUL ALAIN LaFOREST I had a rooming house in Montreal for 19 international students, then a large loft for 3 or 4 roommates in Toronto. I love talking to people about anything (almost), from life experiences and travelling to gambling and decoration. I used to be a house painter. I am very respectful of any other human being and I do not have one enemy. Love to exercise in any gym and play all kinds of things like Frisbee, Volleyball, tennis, etc. Need a partner, I’m there. Love a good wood fire at night in cottage country, kirtans and pot lucks are my favorites.
PHILOSOPHY
Do your best with what you have. Be a regular McGuyver. Help others as you are silently helped each day by life and others.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I like traveling and just learned about Couch Surfing 5 years ago. I will travel all year all over the USA, then home, then Europe, then home, then??? I would love to go everywhere where it’s warm for the winter, since I’ve been in Canada every winter for a long long time. Then travel Europe for warmer months.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I am new as of October 2010, I am in Vegas right now, and so I will surely get lots of CS experiences in the future. I also discovered Facebook, linked in and twitter lately, great social tools where my friends also are sharing ideas. Basically it’s a new kind of life that’s starting.
Interests
Video Production and traveling where it’s warmer than minus 20, in the winter months. I love to do videos when I am traveling. I do Yoga and Kirtans and I write articles for the LUXURY magazine in Montreal. I like visiting Casinos all around the world and I have been studying how to win Roulette for 7 years as a hobby. When I am home, I help people move their home’s content or their locker’s, and young people move from room to room with my van. I had to leave my loft where I was with 3 roommates from France, Australia and a Toronto guy, that also loved to watch movies like me. And now I love to meet new people from all over the world, wherever I end up going.

Music, Movies, and Books
Still love that old California rock and Peter Gabriel. Lately, I love Jazz and atmosphere. I also do Kirtans, with friends that are yoga teachers.
I love movies too, so many to name: Eternal SOTSM, Lost in T, Matrix, Polytechnique, Ma fille mon ange, and many small independent productions and foreign films.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I’ve won a cruise while signing in a Karaoke formal night on a cruise ship where 200 travel agents and the president of Costa Cruise Mr. Seguala himself heard me sing and gave me a cruise for me and my girlfriend at the time. I also got the air travel from Air Transat, the representing agent that was also present that night. That was in 97. And now I do SPOCK, which is not a bad thing to do! Here are a recent Media features...

Locations traveled: Canada, USA, France, Nassau, Florida, Key West, Guadeloupe, Cozumel, Grand Caiman Island, Jamaica. And now VEGAAAAAS... and 20 US states.
Teach, Learn, Share
One of the dreams I had at the time was to go and visit Vegas and the south of the USA and see how the other half lives. Then I went there, but my life changed completely when someone told me i looked like Leonard Nimoy. I then started to be a Spock Look-alike all over the US and Canada.
I use to see these shows where they show “the 10 best party places in the world”, and I thought “If I don’t go at least once in my life, and meet the people and see how they live, I’ll always be wondering… (Then I said: I AM HERE in VEGAS NOW)>>> YAHOOOOooo! Yes I did it because of couchsurfing. Many people helped me realize my dream, and that statement is still accurate at this time, cause I am still on the road!!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Life experience is worth a lot more than a couch. Couchsurfing is just a medium for people to meet intimately and exchange knowledge and feelings from where they went. It is the best experience. Or there are always motel rooms... if you like to be alone.
