Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
see as much of the world as I possibly can - as simple as that
ABOUT ME
I'd consider myself a rather calm, contemplative person who enjoys travelling, learning about different cultures than my own, meeting people from all over the world and share experiences. Most of the time I prefer having a good dinner, drinking a good bottle of wine and having an inspiring conversation rather than partying all night long, but from time to time I enjoy to really rock it up as well ;)
When I travel, I'm rather independent and rather easy to have - don't need a babysitter all the time, although I would enjoy spending some time with my hosts, of course.
Other than that, I love going to the movies, the opera, reading a book, cooking and having friends over, and above all that, spending time with my boyfriend.
PHILOSOPHY
carpe diem, as corny as it might seem ;)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Hosting or being someone's guest, or just showing you around and grab a bite when you're visiting my city.
Just one exception: I don't host during Octoberfest.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've had quite a few amazing Couchsurfing experiences so far, as a host and as a guest, and I really hope to meet a lot more interesting, nice, cool, open minded people from all over the world!
I also met with people through couchsurfing for a drink, hanging out, even for a tango class in Buenos Aires - thinking of that special evening still makes me smile. Thank you Yanina!
Another great experience was during the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. My boyfriend was a professional athlete at the time and participating, so there was no question I had to cheer for him. Obviously I was not allowed to stay at the Olympic village and hotels were overbooked, and I was the luckiest person in the world when I found this perfect host with his perfect condo overlooking the BC Place Stadium - I couldn't have stayed at a better spot, and my host who was not interested in the Games at first, was delighted to suddenly be so close to an actual athlete and sitting at the dinner table with him. Thank you Yves!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
there are many, but one of the most amazing things I've ever done was my first time scuba diving - being able to breathe under water, surrounded by the deep, deep blue see and the total absence of any noise - just you, your breath and the beautiful nature.
