About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Staying true to the 5 year old Lotta.
ABOUT ME
26 years old. Very passionate about food, the environment, zero waste, minimalism, psychology, feminism, ... I also tend to hug every animal I come across and adore tea that smells like Christmas. I am also a walking paradox, the kind that knows both Tolstoy and Taylor Swift's birthday.
PHILOSOPHY
The one you can find in a children's book.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To expand my knowledge. To get to know wonderful people, interact with travelers and locals, learn about different cultures. I also really want to learn French.
Interests
Literature, interesting conversations, interacting with people, dreaming, philosophy, psychology, childhood, nature/the environment, health (vegetarianism and veganism in particular), feminism (yes, I am one of "those" people), the effect of technology and media on us people.

Music, Movies, and Books
Literature: read Hermann Hesse religiously when I was 16. Other books I enjoy(ed): Les Misérables, Brave New World, The Bell Jar, The Little Prince, Norwegian Wood, Jane Eyre, Harry Potter (haters will not be accepted), Extremely loud and incredibly close, children's books, ...
Movies: Once, Science of sleep, eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, it's a wonderful life, wizard of oz, the edukators, Frances Ha, Boyhood, The before trilogy, bringing up baby, the seventh seal, the philadelphia story, ... (And I only watch superficial tv-series: biggest guilty pleasure is those horrible reality shows on MTV. I am not proud of this.)
Music: Soft spot for Iceland music. Some of my favorite bands are: Asgeir, Sin Fang, Seabear, Sigur Ros, Jens Lekman, The Beatles (duh), Isbells. And well ... Taylor Swift.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was an exchange student in Sweden, Gothenburg. I lived there for a year. I also lived in Stockholm for 6 months, I worked there as a volunteer for Youth For Understanding.
I lived in Berlin for 6 months, I did my Erasmus there.
I walked 500km to Compostela.
I lived and worked in New Zealand.
And oh, I drove a car into a channel.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a passionate person. I studied philosophy, gender and diversity and inspirational coaching. I'm very passionate about climate ethics, zero waste, animal welfare, feminism, literature, ... I love talking about these things but I consider myself also pretty open minded. I hope I can teach you a bit about those things or share some thoughts and ideas.
I would love to learn more about almost everything. Cultures, countries, religions, ideas, agricultural, nature, ... I also really want to improve my French.
