About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Saving for my own place!

ABOUT ME

I'm an easy going guy who gets on with most people. I come originally from Scotland but have lived in England since I was young.

I love travelling and discovering new places.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't worry, be happy :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Meeting new people and telling everyone about CS! I plan to be able to host once I get my own place.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Not a lot so far, I have been to one event and helped show round a guest being hosted by my girlfriend in Manchester. Had a great time doing both and plan to do a lot more in the future!

Interests

Anything to do with music; going to gigs, listening to music and discovering new bands. I can "play" guitar a bit but I am fairly terrible!

Cycling, I commute to work during the summer and this year completed a 1400km trip round Scotland and England, which was amazing - you see a lot of incredible scenery which just flies by in the car or train.

Music, Movies, and Books

My musical tastes revolve around indie/rock, alt.country/folk, post rock etc.

For example - Radiohead, Arcade Fire, Seabear, Beirut, Múm, The Twilight Sad, Paavoharju, The Decemberists, Gorky's Zygotic Mynci.

I'm fairly adventurous with music and love discovering bands from round the world, so please introduce me to artists from your country :)

The same with movies, I am bored of Hollywood movies, I am getting more and more into independent films from round the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing the Northern Lights in Greenland and Iceland. A breathaking experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to find out more about your country! The food, drink, art, music, movies, sights etc.

I'm keen to learn more languages. It's debatable how much can be learned from a weekend break, but I'm happy to learn some words or phrases that are useful.

I'm an OK cook I guess, maybe I can teach you some British/Scottish recipes.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, France, Germany, Greenland, Iceland, Ireland, Lithuania, Netherlands, Sweden

Countries I’ve Lived In

United Kingdom
