About Me
Hi everyone! I'm Joana and I hate standing still. I am currently in my 5th Year of Med School and everytime I have a little break from school I do what I love the most - I travel and on the way I love meeting new, interesting people!
Wanderlust is the most frustrating feeling ever!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Like I said, I love meeting new people with interesting stories to tell! Everyone has a story to tell, and I love listening to them! I also like showing my beautiful city -Lisbon (at the moment) - to everyone who's interested!
Interests
Well, I love to read. Specially novels about travelling and such. I love music - specially indie/alternative stuff like Alt-J, Vampire Weekend, HAIM, St. Vincent, Tune-Yards and stuff like that. There's nothig better than meeting someone with the same taste in music as you (only, don't fall in love with them at first sight - I learned that the hard way - haha). I love studying Medicine but sometimes I just like to go out and go crazy (within reason).

Music, Movies, and Books
Vampire Weekend, HAIM, Chet Faker, Glass Animals, Alt-J, the strumbellas, Hey! Rosetta, and every folky-indie-alternative thing.
(I also like singing to random stuff on the radio - but that's off record. Taylor Swift? NEVER).
I love all movies from the 50s and 60s - my favourite movie is Casablanca - not because of the romance but the historic setting. I also appreciate movies with Audrey Hepburn and Barbra Streisand. But Emma Thompson is my spirit animal. Her or Noel Fielding.
I love reading, I read them all: Kafka, Kerouac, Tolstoi but the author I love the most is Shakespeare because acting is one of my passions.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I climbed Diamond Hill in Ireland and I dived off a cliff in Old Head, also in Ireland.
