I don't need a lot, but I want it all...living life to the fullest. I am going to LIVE until I die ... running the world and stuff. Some people say I am crazy...I say 'I am one step below crazy, and that is passionate!' I am not really perfect but perfectly real. I like to take risks...give things a chance and see what happens...but I am not stupid...I call it 'taking calculated risks'. I've been told I am dependable, goofy, motivating, flirtatious, spontaneous, playful, pragmatic, fun, outgoing, non-judgemental, laid back, anal as well as a pain in the a**, genuine, selfish, cheerful, open-minded, a bad influence, good with hands-on tasks...

PHILOSOPHY

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am not able to host much because I normally just rent a room when I am in the US. I have had the opportunity to host, and it is just as rewarding as surfing.

It's not about simply saving money or a free place to stay, it's about meeting people, sharing stories and getting a richer experience during your travel.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed in the US, Bali, the Caribbean, Australia, Canada, Europe and met the most wonderful people!

Been staying on a piece of property in Cattai, north of Sydney, Australia. The sons were off at a festival in Melbourne and Manfred, the lovely 79 year old German and his wife Eddy, whoes mother was born five minutes from where my parents live in Austria, were a delight to be around. At first the place reminded me of the movie 'Wrong Turn' since it is in the woods and has old cars scattered about. One of the cars was my habitation. I got to sleep in an ambulance, which I thought was fabulous. Next to that was the caravan, the shire, the church, the punker, the sound room, etc. FABULOUS!!!!! I shall return. Manfred is a howl! Never in your life will you meet a person like him, guaranteed.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I trekked the Tongarira Crossing, to Machu Picchu, to Cuidad Perdida and climbed Ayers Rock. I dove the Blue Hole, tried to swim in the Dead Sea, skied the Hahnenkamm, went shark cage diving, bungee jumped, did skydiving, wrecked a car, wrecked my Vespa, saw corpse being burned along the Ghanges River, spent New years in Rio, ran with the bulls in Pamplona.....great things yet to come....
