About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to figure it all out, and then forget.

ABOUT ME

I collect honey, aprons, and paperclips. I wear my shoes until there's a hole in the bottom. My life is centered around creation and exploration, and I know that as long as I live I will never cease to do either. I don't like to plan anything out concretely and my favourite moments are those that are spontaneous, surprising, and impulsive. Since graduating from university, I have been trying to continue my education through my experiences, and to throw myself into those situations that my normal, timid self would usually shy away from.
On a bus ride, I recently wrote in my notebook:
'I keep getting a heavy, sad pain in my chest.....the kind you get when you realize the universe is filled with amazing and beautiful things that you absolutely will never know or see...this feeling is how I know I can't run home yet, not yet... This is my opportunity.'
If you want to see my social projection of myself, I have a Facebook....

PHILOSOPHY

Just Be.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hosted surfers in Santa Cruz for a few years. I always try to help out the best I can whether that means a temporary home, or just meeting up and helping to see the town in a new light. I've been a guest while traveling and I always appreciate the homes I am invited into.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hosting surfers has been a great aspect of my life. I've been able to make great connections and amazing friends around the world that I NEED to go visit!! I've gained new music, movies, perspectives, political discussion, tasty recipes and inspiration. In my travels, I've been taken in by a variety of people, and some from the couchsurfing network: I alway love when I am able to get back out for some traveling and I hope to meet more great people in the couchsurfing community.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's all been amazing. I'd write you a book about it but then you wouldn't need to open those eyes on your own.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to make things of all sorts. I can show you how to:
Screen print: burn, stencils. Intaglio (dry point and etching) too. Primitive photography and developing. Sew. Needle felting. Fix your bike. Exchange language! Book binding. Picture Framing. Discuss globalization and neoliberalism. Electrical work. Basic construction. Grafting and gardening. Help with chemistry and a bit of calculus. I know some star constellations (only in the late winter though, ha) Cook: with you, teach you. Be a friend and a home.
I'm always learning new things, teach me something.
