About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'm back from my one year travel through latin america with my bicycle: radrauschen.wordpress.com

I started into daily life, working as an engineer again since August 2016. Therefore my current mission is to withstand my impulse to go back into this inspiring and diverse world for another big adventure. But my current life around a fixed location still keeps good experiences as well as mind- and heart-growing happenings ready for me.

ABOUT ME

I studied information technology at the university of Kaiserslautern, which I finished in May 2012. For my first step into business, I was working as an engineer in the field of automotive displays in a mid-size company near Stuttgart, where I nearly lived three years before I decided to explore Latin America by bicycle for one year.

Good friends describe myself as ambitious, activ, adaptable, honest, helpful, polite, solidarily, open-minded, punctual, conscientious, independent, reliable, energetic.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is a never ending learning lesson and I think it is important to have a good balance of advocate it's own attitude and to be open-minded for the thoughts of others.
I believe it helps to always be maintain the possibilty to reconsider its own attitude, but having a solid base at the same time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

The best way to grow it's own personality is the communication with people, who have different backgrounds. I love to hear how the world looks like from different perspectives and like to find out what is important in other person's life. For this reason I welcome everybody, who needs a stay/wants to meet for a drink and also interested in sharing thoughts about life, music, sports, politics, cooking, books and wherever a conversation leads to.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first couchsurfing-experiences were during my 6 months stay in New Zealand. I surfed on couches of interesting people with different backgrounds.

Interests

I really love to hear 'good' music and I'm always in search of new songs and artists to extend my music-horizon. I like to go to concerts and abr sometimes I organize a concert on my own. I'm interested in different cultures, interested in the way of living in other countries and I'd like to see as many beautiful places as possible in my life. I played soccer for a long time (I started it when I was 6), but after a some injuries I never really found a way back to train and play as much as I've done before. When I'm looking back I'm not upset about it, because it opened the door to a lot of other beautiful sports like running, cycling and climbing, swimming, skiing. I once had a first kitesurfing and wind-surfing experience, which I want to do again some time.
