CURRENT MISSION

I have set off on my first adventure overseas! My friend and I are planning to travel from China to Turkey overland. We plan to trek through Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Iran along the way.

ABOUT ME

Fairly easy going I enjoy the sights and sounds of anywhere new. Never having been out of Australia, but always being desperate to see it all, I have decided it is time to stop saying someday and start to explore as much as I can. Not overly assertive or opinionated, I believe that I have the capacity to experience new things and would like to meet as many new people as I can.

PHILOSOPHY

My theory is that life is about who you are and how you live it, not what you do. I think that societies where your occupation is more important that how you treat others is flawed.

Currently I will be wanting to use this site to network with people who I think have similar interests and, obviously being a traveler at the moment, hopefully be able to find places to crash and people to share stories with.

Interesses

Music holds a special place in my heart, as I am sure it does with everyone. Understanding the traditions and customs of the people and countries I am visiting is also very high in my interests.

Movies; Detroit rock city, Dazed and confused, 24 hour party people, Casablanca (black and white version!), American history x, Jesus Christ Superstar.

Books; Not a very heavy reader, I have enjoyed the classics, but with to increase my reading, if anyone has any ideas!

Having never traveled outside Australia, I am limited in this category. At the same time, however, I have been lucky enough to experience many of the sights and lifestyles that Australia has to offer, for which I am truly grateful.

playing piano for 13 years, I have some tips or helpful guides to assist in learning the piano. Also a self taught juggler I could help out in that area!!
There are possibly some other skills I could teach, but right now they seem to allude me!
I would like to learn anything that anyone is willing to take the time to teach me!
