About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Survive higher education!

ABOUT ME

My home town has 250 people in it and big cities scare me! But being from a small town I do enjoy meeting new people. I think family is extremely important and love mine a lot.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is meant to be spent serving others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love running. I ran in high school and have done several marathons since. I also enjoy teaching. I am a member of engineers without borders.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only couchsurfed a few times, but each time has been amazing. The world and its people are beautiful and I want to meet a lot of them!

Interests

Running, teaching, studying, anything mechanical, and most recently photography. Also aviation is pretty great.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really enjoy small budget films. I used to be super huge into action but then I realized that they are kind of just knock offs of other action movies. Any movies that try to see the world in a different way. These have included "The Adjustment Bureau", "Scorched" (The one with woody harrelson), and "Tron" the new one. For documentaries I loved "Waiting for Superman". When it comes to music I love music I can run to which usually includes punk rock like Relient K. I also like slow songs and instrumental and occasionally a bit of country to put myself to sleep (and every so often...KE$HA). When it comes to books I love Les Miserables, The Wind on Fire Trilogy, anything by Ayn Rand, and I love reading samples of any religious text.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Marathons, and getting good grades. I love finishing a marathon because of the pure physical struggle and overcoming all of the pain in your body that says you can't finish the race. I love religious people and I served a Mission for the Mormon church in the Southern States. I also work really hard to get good grades and enjoy seeing my work pay off...when it does.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am very good at math. I know that isn't such a teachable skill but I enjoy it.
I also love photography and understand the difference between all of the lenses and cameras.
I also build small electronics. I just finished a solar paneled backpack that charges my cell phone along with many other gizmos.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Food! And a good tour guide of the area as I am also an ambassador for my college so I can help find what people are looking for.

Countries I’ve Visited

Guatemala, Peru, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
