Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To make it through the last two years of vet school with my sanity and relationship intact.
ABOUT ME
Saivite Hindu, born and raised, I try to live simply. I love my family and my sisters are my best friends.
I love the natural beauty that you can find anywhere in the world, in the sea, the sky, the mountains, the trees (especially the trees), or just in the heart of a flower.
PHILOSOPHY
"Life is meant to be lived joyously" ~unknown
I'd like to be one of those people who leave no carbon footprint, but haven't dedicated myself to it yet. My philosophy on life is not original, I try not to hurt anyone and be positive...I think if everyone avoided anger, the world would be a better place.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm new to the CS Project, but have heard great things about it from friends who have participated. Hopefully I can be a part of the greater whole and make someone's stay in my area a good experience.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've had amazing experience with gracious hosts and guests. Love the idea and the reality.
Interests
Dance is the best, but if I can't dance, running, hiking, and swimming all come in as close seconds.
I love wildlife and domestic pets, so volunteering at the nearby wildlife rehabilitation center is one of my pastimes. Volunteering in general is something I like to do.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies are grand and even some television shows (Greenwing is a fave). The problem with movies and tv is that you have to have electricity to watch them. A book on the other hand, you can read anywhere. I love books from many different genres. Off the top of my head, I'd say my current favorites are Daughter of Fortune- Isabel Allende, My Sister's Keeper- Jodi Picoult, The Red Tent-Anita Diamant, and His Dark Materials trilogy - Phillip Pullman.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Probably the most remarkable to most people is that my family moved to India when I was 11. My parents thought as they were raising a Hindu family, they should immerse us in our culture. We lived there for almost four years, learning classical dance and music and getting a very different view of the world than we had before.
