ABOUT ME

I'm from Vancouver, Canada and have also lived in Germany and Taiwan for about 6 years. I paint/draw/sketch and teach oil painting and figurative drawing.

Just finished 2.5 months in Argenton, France studying figurative oil painting. Maybe I'll paint your portrait if you'll sit for me :)

I love to cycle, play piano & guitar, read, and go to galleries and museums on a regular basis.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I host and surf couches! I would like to participate in CouchSurfing events once i get to Taiwan, too...

So far, so good! The people i've hosted and my couch surfing experiences have all been great and now i'm a CouchSurfer for life!

Books: Alain de Botton, JG Ballard, Cormac McCarthy, Tom Wolfe, just about anything that's either poetically written or interesting non-fiction, or both...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The Yuanshuay Festival in Taiwan...it happens every February in a small town. Everybody dresses up in rubber raincoats & fullface motorcycle helmets and people fire hundreds of thousands of bottle rockets and other fireworks directly at the crowd!!! super crazy stuff...it's supposed to ward off evil spirits for the coming year...
