ABOUT ME
I am a calm and appreciative person who loves the good things of life: soulfood, interesting people, music, beauty, dancing, books, movies, landscape - everything that touches my senses and soul.
PHILOSOPHY
don't take yourself and your surrounding too serious
be self-reflective or you might lose touch with yourself
think about what is important to you and try actively to adapt your life to it
don't limit yourself through entrenched mindsets and be compassionate to those around you
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am currently traveling / doing research in Southern Europe and don´t have a base where I can host anyone. As soon as I will have a home again, you are welcome to visit, until then I am dependent on your hospitality :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have been hosted by many amazing people in Spain, Greece, Italy, France, Portugal, Belgium, Netherlands, USA. And have hosted a few people in my old flat in Maastricht. Both organised through couchsurfing and through random encounters in the non-digital world.
Interests
Obviously travelling and meeting new people, getting new impressions (guess that is what connects most of us CSers). Otherwise I just try to have a good time and to make most of it: enjoy my given time, connect with inspiring people/organizations/ideas & reflect myself and my surrounding.

Movies: I enjoy independent producers like Jim Jarmusch, Fatih Akin, Almadovar.
Music: 60s/70s Rock, Reggea, Soul, Jazz, HipHop... regularly getting to know about new music I fall in love with and didn't know about before.
Books: Ismael, Der Geschichtenverkäufer, No one gets out of here alive, 1984, Kyte Runner, The Dark Tower, lots of novels as well as non-fiction like Naomi Klein's 'Shock Doctrine' and more spiritually inclined books like Eckhart Tolle's "The Power of Now"
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Moments in nature that left me awestruck
Teach, Learn, Share
I could teach some martial arts, Tai-Chi and massage techniques, languages (I love learning languages and am happy to teach as well), a few cooking recipes, games like chess/backgammon/cards.
Always open to learn about new sports, practical skills, recipes, healing methods...
