ABOUT ME

I'm a squeezebox player and singer, I've been supporting myself as a musician for several years. I will gladly barter instrument repair or lessons on guitar or accordion, or babysitting or pet sitting for a place to stay. I specialize in Irish, Cajun, and fun, up-tempo pop music. My hair is currently pink, purple, red, and orange. I'm traveling with my sister Rosie and my roommate Alexandra, they are both sweet, punky 23-year-old gals with ukuleles and great sewing abilities.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to love everyone and treat them with dignity, even if they are not being nice to me. Explore the world, trying not to be afraid of the racial or cultural divides between myself and others. Communication and a kind heart can overcome fear and hate. Be joyful and fun even in tough situations.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

no couch at this time; a small place with kids around doesn't invite such things. but, the future is ripe with possibilities.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Last February was my first experience in couch surfing. It has been uncomfortable, eye-opening, but at times also joyful and awesome. Thanks to Alana, Mike, and the crazy kids at Termite and Vine.

Intereses

Music, especially folk music of all traditions. French language, (I'm a fluent French speaker, and an amusingly mediocre Spanish speaker.) Philosophy, writing, woodworking and instrument repair. Animals. Travel. Learning how to communicate with love, compassion and clarity instead of being insecure and self-involved. Bicycles. Saving the planet.

Instrument repair- I have 3 years in-shop experience with guitars, 2 years in-shop experience with accordions. I can fix and evaluate instruments.
French tutoring- I can help you with conversational French.
Musician skills- I can teach harmony, help you learn a song, or teach accordion (diatonic or piano)also guitar.
