About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to do the opposite (any Seinfeld fans out there)

ABOUT ME

i love to interact with all types of people, sometimes i can get easily frustrated but it depends on the situation and/or environment im in, i LOVE the outdoors (kayaking, hiking, football, swimming, traveling) and i love to exercise (lift weights, run/jog), i also like to volunteer.

PHILOSOPHY

in life the overall key i have found is moderation. too much or too little of pretty much anything can turn bad but if you take it in moderation then it usually can be healthy.

i also have two favorite quotes that i found to be a helpful life philosophies: "an eye for an eye and the whole world goes blind" -Ghandi and "The best journeys answer questions that in the beginning you didn't even think to ask" -unknown

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

i was in puerto rico with my girlfriend megan visiting an old trail crew member of ours who is from here. we heard about this crazy natural phenominon call bio-luminescent bays, so we signed up to visit one of these bays. what this is is that there are 5 bays that continuously have this type of species in the water all year round (3 in puerto rico, 1 in the bahamas, and 1 in jaimaca). there is this micor-organism (i forget the scientific name) that is classified as a plant that lives in these bays. during the day they obsorb the suns energy and at night (almost like fire-flies or lightning bugs) release this energy in the form of neon light. they only do this though when there is movement in the water and they are through out the entire water source...like its apart of the water. so here we are kayaking through this lagoon type passage of water to come out to this open bay and while getting to the bay we started to notice that everytime out paddle hits the water the wave glows up. then we start scaring these huge fish underneath us (4 to 5 feet long) and they start to glow when they move...almost like hide and seek. it was the most amazing thing i probably will ever see in my entire life. we even got to swim in it. we were so amazed by it that we went to another one that was on an island off the puerto rican coast. this one had fish that leaped out of the water when you scared them...freakin amazing. i strongly suggest to anyone and everyone to make this a stop on your life's road!!!
