About Me

I'm a native of Washington, DC, but I've spent my adult life bouncing around between Chicago, New York, DC, San Francisco, and Boston, where I am now. I graduated college in June 2010 and pursued journalism for a bit, but then I drifted away from that, ended up co-founding an online magazine, and randomly moved to Mexico City for a couple months. Now I'm in my second year of law school, which keeps me very busy but is never boring. I plan to be a public interest lawyer rather than the kind that makes money.

A bit more about me: I like reading, writing, and hanging out. I drink more coffee than alcohol (though I like alcohol too). When I have an afternoon or a whole day free I like to go someplace I've never been before and wander around. I'm generally upbeat and friendly, but also happy to hang out on my own. It seems like I end up traveling a lot without really intending to.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I can't host because one of my roommates isn't into it, but I've had great experiences surfing and hosting in the past and hope I will again in the future.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed a few times in America, Canada, and Europe, and I hosted people a number of times when I was living in New York City. All of my experiences on both sides, without exception, have been great and fun and educational. Couchsurfing gives me a lot of faith in humanity and, like, the internet and stuff.

Interests

I'm very interested in exploring cities, urban history, psychogeography, architecture, that kind of thing. I want to know how other people's lives work. Also languages, transportation, politics, education, history, and literature.

These days I spend a lot of my time thinking about the law and will probably talk your ear off about whatever I'm studying if you're not careful.
