I am a graduate Chemical Engineering student at North Carolina State University. I primarily grew up in the southern part of India, having lived in the 3 major South Indian metro cities of Chennai, Hyderabad, and Bangalore. I worked with Royal Dutch Shell in Bangalore for a couple of years before heading on this journey that has enabled me to live in a completely different yet beautiful country far away from home.

I play soccer, squash, ping pong, and read books in my free time. I really love the outdoors and grab any opportunity to hike or explore the outdoors. I follow cricket, soccer, the financial markets and the news closely. I am always down for a healthy debate or discussion on any topic. I love hearing people's stories and new opinions always seem to have sparked my imagination and at times inspired me too.

I have increased my traveling since I became financially independent. The most interesting aspects of travel for me are the people and the different cultures I get to experience when I travel. I strongly feel that these experiences help me with my journey of self-actualization.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I recently heard about the community when I was planning my solo trip across Canada. I joined to help fellow travelers with accommodation and contribute to their travel experience, in any small way possible. Moreover, I would love to get to know people from different backgrounds, hear their story and give them happy memories to carry in this journey of life.

I read non-fiction primarily covering the genres of in the form of motivational, philosophy, autobiographies and science.
