About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm pretty chill, down to earth, and very liberal. I love traveling, beaches, dancing, and living life to the fullest. I'm a committed sarcastic, a bit of a nerd, and I also enjoy fun nights of drinking. I grew up in MD, but spent the last 10 years traveling the country and world. I have a job in international development, and am very passionate about my work.

I love road trips; I've been through all of the 48 continental states except North Dakota and Michigan. I've also traveled outside the country, though those trips obviously involved planes and often lots of public transportation, which was great. I have a tattoo that says "Not all those who wander are lost", which i feel is apropos for my life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I started with couchsurfing as I traveled with a friend who was already a user. I currently live with a roommate in a tiny apartment, and thus I cannot offer a place to stay to others. However, in the future, I hope to be able to open up my home to travelers.

In the mean time, I like to meet up with fellow travelers on occasion, swap stories and/or just have a good time.

Interests

I love activities that are mostly free and/or (slightly) active, like walking, hiking, gardening, cooking (I'm a pretty good cook!), also reading, backroad driving, and relaxing. I'm always down to learn a new dance, and love to go to bachata and kizomba nights (I'm trying to find all the good spots in DC!). I also love a good discussion on feminism, politics, my most recent book, or many other topics!

Teach, Learn, Share

I have started making my own (non-grape) wines, such as blueberry, peach, strawberry, mango wine, etc. It's been a pretty fun process, and I'd love to tell you more about it.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a pretty good cook, and I'm always down to share a meal. I also enjoy swapping laughs and stories.
