About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Traveling for 12 months from Ushuaia at the southern tip of Argentina, up to Alaska USA. Learning to speak Spanish, see the world differently, meet new people and experience more of the World.

ABOUT ME

Hola! My name is Sam. My wife Anna and I are doctors from New Zealand. We've been saving for a few years and now we're ready to start our big travels.

A bit about me: I like to chat and meet up with new friends, go for drinks out, or just sit and read a book at a street side café. I'm always ready and willing for a new adventure. Especially in the great outdoors. We could meet up to debate philosophy or literature, or to catch a movie, visit a museum or explore an abandoned building or spooky forest. Carpe diem (Latin for 'seize the day') will pretty much provide all the motivation I need for trying something new.

I also enjoy a spot of rugby, tennis, squash, volleyball, trampolining, snowboarding or wake boarding. Plus boardgames, boardgames are cool.

PHILOSOPHY

Carpe Diem.

"I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference."
-Robert Frost

HOW I PARTICIPATE

I host when I have space and surf when traveling.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

During Med school my wife and I lived in Nepal for 3 months working at a Kathmandu public hospital. It was an amazing experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach you how to juggle balls or clubs, do backflips and other tricks.
We could cook a good meal or share a new recipe.
I am super excited to learn or teach more Spanish :)
