About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To make a difference in peoples’ lives and try my hand at shaping a world into a form in which I, as well as those I may meet, can believe in.
ABOUT ME
I'm a former Peace Corps volunteer (Philippines '08-'10) and I currently live and teach in rural South Korea (arrived August '10). I play guitar in a three-piece folk rock band, I'm a self-ascribed computer geek, I love photography, I just finished my first novel and I really like coffee. I like to talk about music, literature, share travel stories and eat. I guess eating is my number one hobby since I do it every day. Fortunately, Korean food is amazing!
PHILOSOPHY
Be excellent to each other.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I really want to build the community by both providing a bed and being provided a bed.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have hosted twice and have yet to take an opportunity to couchsurf myself.
Interests
I love music; I play guitar, bass and drums. I listen to all kinds of music, blues and hip-hop being my favorites, rock, classic rock, folk, acid rock, indie, etc. Just no country western.
I also like computers and technology. I've worked as an IT intern for two years.
Coffee is a priority in my life and getting to know someone over coffee is one of my favorite things to do.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Going to Victoria Falls was paramount -- I've never seen something of equivalent beauty, wonder and majesty i the US. It was a humbling moment, the kind of moment where you realize that you yourself are such an integral part of the world in which we live, a oneness with nature. I'm not a granola cruncher by any means, but it was an intense moment.
In the summer of 2007, my buddy and I backpacked in Europe for two months, visiting 13 countries.
