Hey there!
We are Katrin and Victor. We live in a flat in Hamburg in the Winterhude area.

We like: travelling, ice cream, pizza, basically any food actually, learning languages, going out (especially for more food), running, music (unfortunately not the same kind), spending the evening with friends while drinking wine and talking, cool graphic design, interior design (Katrin), reading tons of books (especially Victor) arts and crafts (Katrin), nice drinks (Victor) and meeting interesting people from all over the world (both)!

We were lucky enough to be able to spend nearly a year travelling the world in 2016-2017 and met so many amazing people along the way. We stayed with a few fellow couchsurfers along the way and would like to repay the favour.

PLEASE READ:
Since couchsurfing for us is about meeting interesting people from countries other than our own, please understand that we are not looking to host courchsurfers from Germany or people that are only looking for a place to crash for free. We are really laid back and cool with hanging out or not hanging out, but we'd like to actually get to know the people we are hosting a bit.
Also, we work full-time during the week, which is why we prefer to host people over the weekend.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We love getting new input and inspiration out of meeting people from cultural backgrounds different to our own, sharing some tips and things to do in Hamburg and Germany and just have fun with interesting travelers.

Interests

Victor: Running, Poker, Basketball, Dancing, Capoeira, Arcade Games, mixing (and drinking) drinks and cocktails

Katrin: Making tons of arguably decorative things like silver jewellery, watercolour paintings and random things that now take up space in our flat.

Music, Movies, and Books

We like different kinds of music. Victor is more into HipHop, Funk and Soul, and Katrin is more into Rock and Indie Rock. We pretty much can only agree on Kaleo and Paolo Nutini.

We go to the movies a lot. We really watch anything that looks promising and like all kinds of genres except Horror because then Victor can't sleep. More specifically we are somewhat into Star Wars, mafia movies (Victor) and Game of Thrones (Katrin - despite her repeated efforts to convince Victor he refuses to watch it).

We read a lot (Victor more than Katrin, which he does not tire to point out) - both novels and non-fiction, although Katrin tends to read more non-fiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Quitting our jobs, selling most of our stuff, canceling our flat and going traveling across twenty countries on six continents for ten months.

Teach, Learn, Share

We can teach you to how mix awesome drinks or intimidate anyone with a few harsh-sounding words in German, but are happy just exchanging stories over a beer or a coffee.
