About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To be such a good guest that you would want me back

ABOUT ME

Mild-mannered, easy to get along with, very thoughtful/considerate, generally optimistic, have a good attitude towards life.

UPDATE 8/21/13: Just hired as a Delta Airlines Flight Attendant! Looking to live as frugally as I can, any generous souls wanna host me for even just a night or two during the early phases of my time in Atlanta? CLARIFICATION: **NOT** expecting a free living space all month. I would book space and take it up just like a normal traveler, would only come with what fits in my suitcase, happy to stay for only a handful of nights. Would want to be a very respectful, non-intrusive guest.

I am well aware of crash pads and will most definitely get one if necessary. I've had one couchsurfing host angrily rebuke my request because I am seeking to be hosted but am not technically a traveler in Atlanta. If you similarly feel I am violating/abusing the spirit of this site, please accept my sincere apologies and simply do not reply to my request. I will learn my lesson. I am just seeing if the generous couchsurfing community might be able to help me live a little more frugally so I can better support loved ones in Minnesota financially. I won't be in Atlanta for a good chunk of time in the month, if whatever nights I do spend in Atlanta could be split up among any number of couchsurfing hosts, even if just for November, it would be an enormous gift to me.

Even if you are unable or unwilling to host, just being a willing connection for me in Atlanta, someone I can turn to for advice getting around and acclimated, would be enormously appreciated and I would hope to repay in returned kindness, however I can, and as a connection should you ever be in Minnesota, particularly the twin cities.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Used the site once in Summer 2012 to stay at an awesome place and meet awesome people in Cincinnati.

Interests

My friends and family and their lives are usually foremost in my imagination. Getting less personal, I love to talk sports, movies, music, travel, world affairs (though that can sometimes be a drag), love to hear about other people and their lives.

If you generally speak the language of Chomsky, Zinn, (Glenn) Greenwald, and/or get your news from Democracy Now!, we'll especially get along just fine. Not a requirement, though.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I generally love U.S. National Parks, haven't been to enough of them, though. Badlands, Rocky Mountain National Park, Guadalupe Mountains and Big Bend National Park in Texas. London? Who doesn't love London? By complete chance I encountered Kevin Spacey in London, that was something as he was my favorite actor when I was a 90's teenager. Clearwater Beach near Tampa, seeing dolphins jumping out of the water near the shore... seeing the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque in Istanbul. Meeting and getting to hang out with locals in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Denver, not to mention meeting and hanging out with Cyprians in Istanbul, and Brits in London... OK, this thing asked for two or three moments, I named a bit more than that. I've also been to some pretty exciting baseball games in my life.
