Hello! I've recently gone back to school to become a teacher, but travel as much as I can in my free time. However, speaking of traveling, it is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I started when I was 23 (ish?) and have been hooked ever since. My favorite trip was my first solo trip through Europe and the UK in 2010. Solo travel is my preferred way to travel because each trip is truly your own and you get to meet so many cool people that way.

As I said, I'm back in school and very excited to be finished again. I'm planning to teach 1st-3rd grade and super excited about it!

I love photography, architecture, new food (especially pizza), puppies, reading, and travel. I'm not really much of a partier--I'd rather just go out for casual drinks, head to a restaurant or save for more trips.

Also, I can't host because I am living in a small studio apartment at the moment, sorry! Hopefully at some point in the future!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love traveling and like to do so cheaply. Also, what better way to meet new people and get to know new cities than through the eyes of the people who already live there?

I'm also a first-timer and trying to use this alongside using hostels.

Music, Movies, and Books

So, so many!

I love finding new bands and artists, especially if I hear about them when traveling!

I read a lot, mostly fiction. I love stories that have a well-developed "world" that you can dive into. I am a Potterhead (Harry Potter) and am really interested in books to do with WW2 and have also gotten into some poetry recently! If you have any recommendations, please send them my way!

And honestly, so.many.movies. I love movies. And documentaries.
My current favorites TV show are Game of Thrones and Black Mirror. I have a few others, but don't really watch much TV.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveled Europe and the UK solo as my first backpacking trip after finishing my bachelor's degree re a big reason why I am in school again now to become a certified teacher.
