I teach Spanish and ESL and also run a few advocacy and support groups on my own. I am not at home this year. I am traveling and working, helping a demographic of children in need. I enjoy helping people & animals. My favorite travel destinations have been Portland, Oregon, Mexico, Egypt and Greece. I couldn't live without family, friends, pets, music & means of communication (and a bicycle). I'm pretty positive but laid back. I enjoy getting along with people. I enjoy finding/learning about meaningful ways to contribute to the greater good. My motto is: "We belong to each other."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting people. The people I meet "along the way" in day to day exchanges make it all worth while. I am also working in a job this year that keeps me somewhat mobile or semi-transient one might say. It is a position serving and supporting children in extreme circumstances. It grounds me to stay with good people.

I am a big animal lover. I also am a cyclist, pianist, singer & sketch artist. Travel is one of my biggest passions. I love camping, languages, music/art, history, outdoors, photography, animals and people, etc.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a musician and love diversity in music. I read constantly, lately mostly articles and research related to focused causes and topics. I also write and do a lot of photography and in turn gaze at a lot of writing and photography. The favorite word I always find too limiting.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have a turtle rescue at my home. Not so amazing but it sure makes me happy to help those turtles. :) I also help with a wolf rescue and with other wild life, animal and environmental endeavors. Every form of life, I find pretty amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I really don't know what to put here. Life is all about teaching, learning and sharing. I like that. I love learning from other people. Ideally, sharing is living, living is sharing.
