About Me

I'm a very positive person and I really do like trying new things - including recipes, foods. I'm keen on seeing new parts of the world and learning more about other cultures and people! I think there's always something new to be learned, and that's wonderful and exciting to me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to meet new people, and it's so interesting learning more about a country from the people who actually know it because then I feel you learn a lot more about the people and perspectives.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Classic rock is my comfort music, but my tastes are very eclectic and vary day to day. I love hearing new kinds of music, as well.

Books: I mostly read a lot of technical books, but I enjoy poetry (mention Kahlil Gibran and we'll get on just fine!), mysteries, horror (Stephen King, HP Lovecraft). I adore book suggestions as well if there's anything that left an impression on you.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've gone skydiving twice, and I anticipate going quite a few more times!

Scuba dived the Great Barrier Reef and Milford Sound after receiving my PADI Open Water Certification.

Lots and lots of road trips in the United States, Iceland, New Zealand.

Moved to New Zealand after quitting my office job - eek!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love learning new things from other people as well as hearing different perspectives on life. There's so much to learn once you step out!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Humor, a good beer and maybe a good homemade meal! I'm also a good ear and absolutely adore hearing of adventures to other places.
