Sobre mí

I grew up in Southern California, but am not the average one. I grew up taking road trips with my family to different national parks, where my interest in nature really peaked. We went camping in Yosemite pretty much every year growing up. Fast forward, I decided to move to rainy Oregon where I attended Oregon State University. I obtained two bachelors of science: Fisheries and Wildlife Science and Environmental Economics. Oregon was an awesome place to spend time hiking and snowboarding. I even went fishing for the first time there. I then moved back on and worked as a restaurant manager, until I was ready to fly the nest.

I quit my job for a year to fulfill a dream of mine to travel the world. I went on a road trip going through California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, and Nevada. I then hopped on a plane to Europe, where I spent the last four months (Aug '16 - Dec '16). I visited Germany, Poland, Austria, Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Ireland, Scotland, England, and Norway. I was home for two months and then I flew to SE Asia for three and a half months and went to Thailand, Singapore, Tokyo, Vietnam, and Cambodia. Through these amazing experiences, I want to be able to share a little bit of my home with other people as well.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

There is something to be said for a person who will take a person into their home and show them a little piece of the place they call home. Throughout this journey I have crossed paths with many people and to be able to share the same space with those people and learn their stories and hear about their travels is something I will always hold close to me.

Música, películas y libros

I enjoy many different genres of music. I have been listening lately to the Lumineers, Mumford and Sons, Ed Sheeren

I like a lot of different movies as well. I usually enjoy the occasional cheesy chick flick too. I really enjoy Game of thrones, the Newsroom, Penny Dreadful... Anything on HBO or Showtime. Just finished Orange is the New Black when I was traveling Europe. I also enjoy independent movies as well as Marvel ones. I also watch the occasional documentary, usually

I am trying to read more... The last book I read was The Alchemist, great travel inspired read. More recent books have been Ender's Game, Gone Girl, Sherlock Holmes...

Algo increíble que he hecho

I had the opportunity to hike to the top of Half Dome in Yosemite National Park. It was an awesome experience and scary as hell. The last part of the hike are the cables, but once you traverse these, you are home free and at the top of the world.

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

I can share my experiences on the road. I have lots of traveling tales and love to exchange them. I have a love of life and just living on the moment.
