I work in the library system during the day and am an artist the rest of the time. I've been drawing ever since I could hold a pencil. There isn't a day I'm not scribbling something into my sketchbook or working on a painting! Recently I've fallen back in love with photography.

I was born and raised in the deserts of Arizona and lived a few years in Southern California before moving up to the Seattle area last year.

I am eager to explore and hike any chance I can get. Complacency and apathy are what scare me the most. I just want to have fun and laugh as much as possible... and pet as many animals as I can.

I'm vegan when I can be but am vegetarian the rest of the time!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel and seeing new places. I grew up being crammed into a car where my family would roadtrip anywhere from the next state over or across the country. So whenever the itch strikes for me to drive away somewhere, it'd be great to meet new friends along the way!

Music, Movies, and Books

My music taste is all over the place. Electronica and ambient music is what I mostly listen to. Some of my favorite musicians are VNV Nation, Röyksopp, St. Vincent, Lady Gaga, Jon Hopkins and Stars of the Lid. I gobble up podcasts pretty fast too, especially ones like Radiolab or This American Life.

I have way too many favorite movies. My all time favorite movie is The Incredibles, I always have to sit down and watch it whenever it is on. Otherwise, some of my other favorites are The Fall, The Fountain, any of the Studio Ghibli films, Stardust, The Fifth Element, Wild and secret favorite, Mean Girls.

Despite working at a library, I am trying to catch up on 20 or so years of reading. Some of my favorites thus far are A Series of Unfortunate Events, Anansi Boys, Sabriel, Howl's Moving Castle, Ender's Game, Speaker for the Dead. I love graphic novels too, like Watchmen, Serenity Rose and Seconds.
