About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To help visitors experience what I believe is the best city in the country.

ABOUT ME

I'm a full-time professional with a lot of travel experience. After seeing the world, D.C. is still my favorite city and I feel very lucky to live here.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is short! Keep exploring!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd love to meet up with anyone in the area to get a coffee or something and talk about stuff to do. If you can host me, that's awesome, too. Travel is so much more rewarding when you have a local's perspective.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted several Travelers when I lived in Washington, D.C., and really enjoyed showing them around and getting to know them. I've also couch surfed a couple of times in Australia, New Zealand, and Paris and had a great time.

Interests

Music, yoga, movies, cycling, surfing (when I can), and trying new foods.

Music, Movies, and Books

Indie rock is my favorite kind of music, but I enjoy all genres. I love the show Sherlock, but you have to wait two years for each new season. I'm a huge Jane Austen fan, but I also like contemporary authors like David Sedaris and Nick Hornsby. Basically, I like a good story no matter what package it comes in.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once went trekking in the hills of northern Thailand and stayed the night in a hilltribe village -- very different for a city girl like me. We bathed in the river, drank local moonshine, and rode elephants the next morning.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm really good at planning and making things happen, so if you need help budgeting or organizing the details of your trip, I can help you!

However, I'm hopeless in the kitchen, so any culinary knowledge you have would be very helpful.

Countries I’ve Visited

Albania, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Cambodia, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Italy, Jordan, Laos, Malaysia, Montenegro, Morocco, Nepal, Netherlands, New Zealand, Romania, Singapore, Spain, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom, Viet Nam
