ABOUT ME

I'm an adventurous youngling with a desire to see all that I can and do as much as I can. Today, I'm 24 and a freelance writer (mostly boring short articles and some local journalism, but I'm planning to expand into major magazines), marrying an Army man. Tomorrow, I'll still be writing and affianced, but life is full of an infinite amount of adventures and I want to get a taste of everything that I can!

When you first meet me, you'll think sweet, shy and smells ok (unless I just got done hiking or running). After getting to know me, my personality slowly leaks out. I love to listen to stories, as they are the fuel to my writing. I believe that everyone has an amazing and unique story, and my goal is to get you talking!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted before and I travel a little bit. In the future, I'd like to travel and couch-crash internationally.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My family loves to bring strangers home, so growing up my house has been full of whats-his-names and who's-that-girls. In that respect, I've had couch surfers in my homes before this website even existed!

兴趣

There's three things I love: the outdoors, writing and food!

Outdoors: camping, hiking, mountain climbing, and anything else in the open air!

Writing: I'm a book worm. I could talk about books for hours on end.

Food: I LOVE to cook! I've made chocolate truffles, gluten free bread, ratatouille, turkey meatloaf, and a lot of vegetable quiches. If I had enough money and time, I'd make all my food from scratch (and if you want, I'd steal your kitchen for a couple hours to make a thank you gift!)
I also love to eat food too, and I'm willing to try just about anything! My only stickler is that it's fresh and unique, so no frozen or fast food for me!

Movies: my favorites are indies or oldies that few people hear about, let alone see. Stranger than Fiction, About Schmidt, 12 Angry Men, and The Man From Earth are ones I can see over and over.

Music: It depends on my mood, but my most-listened to artists are Atmosphere, Queen, and Edward Shape and the Magnetic Zeros

Books: you know how some women are addicted to shoe shopping? I'm addicted to book shopping. Here are a few of my favorites: The Life of Pi, Atlas Shrugged, Little Bee, the Mothers of Plaza de Mayo, Freakonomics, and The Art of War.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Most recently, I've been to several MMA fights as a journalist. It was exciting and terrifying at the same time!
