Overview
About Me
Hey! My name is Stan, 21, and I just finished my studies. Now, I am traveling through South America to hopefully find what I want to do next! Specifically, I'm exploring a lot of artistic stuff, especially the performing arts. Theater, dance, singing, musical, you name it. And I love doing it.
I also love to explore nature and people alike, and would love to make a lot of friends along the way. Wherever I go, my goal is to spread hapiness and be happy. You know, hippie stuff. We'll probably end up in a deep conversation at some point. I am very chill, flexible and open to a lot of new/random things. Every "yes" can be the next crazy adventure. Hopefully see you soon!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to explore different kinds of nature and cultures, hoping to make friends along the way. And to go deeper, really live in a place instead viewing a place. To meet people I will still remember 15 years later, being able to say 'ye, I loved them so much, what a good time', and that the other person can say the same thing.
Interests
I think my favorite night would be a starry night with a campfire on a warm beach, surrounded by friends and music.
I also love climbing/bouldering, although I have mainly done that inside. I am the explorative kind, but also do a lot of slow travel. Really grounding in a place, usually staying around a week in the same area (or more haha).

Music, Movies, and Books
My music taste ranges from indie pop to metal, I love protest songs, concept albums and just adore musicals ❤️🔥. I also really like going to theater plays and contemporary dance. Fantasy books always do it good with me, and the same for anime.
I also make music with acoustic guitar and singing, and I feel like I'm getting to a point where I can say I'm quite good at both!
Some recommendations:
Hawaii: part ll is a great music album
Aurora is a beautifull singer
The chronicles of Ryiria is a great fantasy book series
Parasite is a great anime
I also have an album with all my favorite music! Give it a listen and a shuffle :) 🍃 https://open.spotify.com/playlist/0PIPTcFGNCAaL3lCL4vCbP?si=6s9AUgD3RVKryNioNJgsDQ 🍃
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Multiple day hike through Gunung Leusir, a national park in Indonesia with wild urangutans. I have seen so many different species there, it was beautifull.
Also befriended a gangster in LA haha.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach a high level of Dutch and English, a lot about nature, and how to play acoustic guitar. And I am just sharing myself, my views, and every idea that comes with it :).
I would love to learn more about theater, singing, dancing, and honestly just a lot of arts in general.
Also stuff like photography, painting, video making/editing. You name it and I would probably love to give it a try.
But especially the performing arts, it is something I really want to delve deeper in.
And I would love to learn your worldview, why do you like making art, what does it mean to you, what purpose do you give it, what is your passion and why?
These are questions that I am thinking a lot about at the moment, and actually part of the reason I am currently traveling South America.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A lot of good vibes. If there is a good grocery store in the area, I can cook an amazing meal for us. I'm pretty chill and flexible, and just go where the flow takes me. I usually don't really have a plan yet, so let's make one together if you have time!
