I'm untethered like a clipper ship on the open seas. Cheesy metaphor, but true - single, kids on their own, house cashed out.

I strive to live "above the fray." Engaging in life in an ethical light-hearted way. The "Serenity Prayer" is among my go-to philosophies. When I fall short, I gather myself quick when possible. I can be with difficulty when needed and work my way back to peace.

Enjoying life and contributing to the benefit of others is important to me. I am good, loyal friend. No judging those I don't know: How can I know their experience?

I am curious about the world and the people in it. I am physically active. I can be intense discussing things I'm passionate about, but I'm always looking for a "giggle-fest" as well.

I smile and laugh easily; I'm easy to talk to, honest, transparent. I strive to improve myself and I am in control of my destiny. I am very positive about my future and am very grateful for the live I've lived, also very grateful for this moment.

I prefer a local experience instead of camping or getting a room. I would also like to establish connection with a host that I might revisit frequently. I would like to get a local's perspective about accessing the community: recreation opportunities, cultural experiences, volunteering opportunities, the best coffee houses, restaurants. If I could be a service to my host, I would welcome that opportunity. I can help with manual labor at your home. I practice nonviolent commination as a spiritual path; also Buddhist philosophy.

I live simply and don't need much to feel at home. A welcoming host; a little nook to sleep, bathroom and shower access.

Accomplished tennis player 4.5 rating, back in the day at least. Practice Yoga, Tai Chi. Love short day hikes or covering some miles as well. I like just walking the streets and visiting coffeeshops and bookstores. I don't have to be entertained. I can find pleasure in everything I do.
